Gas Entry Hole
 
Q: There is one small hole on each monitor, what is it for?
A: It is the gas entry hole.
Q: How to use the "Gas Entry Hole" on the CO2 monitor?
A: The CO2 monitor usually measures CO2 in diffusion from the gap holes on the housing. If CO2 is
  pumped into the monitor, it has a faster response less than 30s (63% step change). Before taking a
measurement, please connect the CO2 monitor with a gas tube (outside diameter is about 3mm) into the
  gas entry hole, and pump the gas in 0.1~0.2 liter/min, the CO2 monitor can show the accurate CO2
concentration quickly.

Q: How long is the NDIR life?
A: We use dual channel(beam) NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared), thermopile from PerkinElmer, which
  improves the long-term stability of the measurement; it has longer durability than single channel design
  so the device has a durable life more than 5~10 years.
Q: How long is the Calibration Interval?
A: We recommend no shorter than 3 years (for regular consumer use because our yearly drift is around
  15ppm only).
Q:

What precautions we should take during calibration?

A: Please wait enough time before calibrating the CO2 monitor to make CO2 monitor reading stable. Don’t
  breathe towards the CO2 monitor while you calibrate the CO2 monitor.
Q: In what way should sensor degradation & annual drift be considered?
A: In high temperature and high humidity, the annual drift indeed should be considered. One easy method to
  check the accuracy is to use the ambient air as 400ppm CO2 to calibrate the CO2 monitor. The ZG106/
  ZG116/ ZGW0806 have such mode.
Data Logger
 
Q: For Data Logger, the data is stored per 30 minutes into the number 1~48, which is the latest?
A: In ZG106/116, the DataLogger function stores 48 sets of CO2 concentration (CntR) and ambient
  temperature (Tamb) in the past 24 hours. If the data set (CntR +Tamb) number exceeds 48, the earliest
data set will be replaced by the later data set in sequence automatically. The smallest number is the
latest data. (NO.1 record is always the latest one).

Q: What is "Accuracy"?
A: It is describing the deviation from the real concentration or error. i.e. deviation between average reading
  and real concentration.
Q: What is Repeatability?
A: It is describing the stability of the reading, standard deviation of 16 measurements is the usual method.
  20ppm is the stability at 400ppm.
Q: What does "Response time: <2min for 63% of step change" mean?
A: While you put CO2 monitor from one room (CO2 concentration is C0) suddenly into another room (with
  different CO2 concentration as C1), the CO2 monitor will spend about 2mins to reach this reading: {C0 +
0.63*(C1-C0)}.
Q: Is it possible to connect the IR CO2 module sensor to an input flow of gas and to have an output gas
  flow from the IR CO2 module sensor?
A: It means pressure compensation. Pressure change causes CO2 reading drift. Usually we have the
  pressure compensation of 0.13% by the actual air pressure to avoid of such drift.
Q: It is possible to connect the IR CO2 module sensor to an input flow of gas and to have an output gas
flow from the IR CO2 module sensor?
A: There is one AirFitting (Cu connection), which can connect as the input flow of gas. For output gas flow,
  we need to add another AirFitting on the AirCell(AlCell) for your special application. If you need another
AirFitting, that will need special cost because we need to customize the AirCell for you. Or you can
connect from the gas hole on the AirCell by yourself.
